Nvidia g105m Trick

I was getting messages from people who wanted to know what we did to make the video card perform at its peak. Here it is then:

1. If you go through some articles, they mention that this video card is 64bit. I got a 64bit OS.
2. Update to get the latest device driver from Nvidia. I'm not a fan of modded infs but I still agree that these drivers sometimes squeeze more juice out of your card.
3. In Nvidia settings, try to select the option "let the 3d program decide" on the choice of performance and quality.

Hope this helps. Happy gaming!

Nvidia g105m, a Disappointment?

The boyfriend recently bought a laptop with this graphics card for gaming purposes, and we were honestly a bit disappointed. I mean, seriously. We can hardly play Need for Speed Underground 2 on medium settings and NBA Live 2009 is a no-go even at the lowest settings. We were almost convinced that this graphics card was crap with a nice sounding name, but that was before Nvidia g105m's very own prince charming came along and turned this Cinderella of a graphics card into a graphics princess for keeps.

Now, we are running NSFSU 2 at very high settings without lag, NBA Live 2009 runs flawlessly at medium graphics and Sims 3 runs minus the chops. Thank God for the internet!

*UPDATE: Here is the link for the trick or whatever you may want to call it.
